Cat – Centre Manager
I see children as capable, curious, and full of potential—natural explorers with the ability to lead their own learning. Every child deserves to be trusted, respected, and supported to grow into confident, independent individuals.
As a leader, I believe in creating environments that reflect children's interests and identities. I encourage autonomy and responsibility, knowing that real-world experiences help children to build self-regulation and a sense of belonging. When we step back and truly listen, we uncover the richness of their thinking and the depth of their capabilities.
Relationships are central to my practice. I strive to build safe, nurturing connections where children feel seen, valued, and empowered. I hold high expectations—for myself, my team, and the children—because I believe in their strength and resilience.
I lead with purpose, reflection, and a commitment to child-focused practice. Every decision, routine, and interaction should serve the child. I support my team to observe with intent, engage meaningfully, and co-construct learning that honours each child’s voice.
From little seeds, grow mighty trees—and it’s our role to nurture that growth with care, curiosity, and courage.
Rachel - Educational Leader & Assistant Centre Manager
As the Educational Leader an integral member of our service’s leadership team, I am deeply committed to fostering a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous growth. I believe that when educators are supported to refine their unique strengths and pedagogical approaches, they are better equipped to deliver meaningful, high-quality learning experiences that honour the individuality of every child.
Central to my philosophy is the belief that respectful partnerships with children, families, educators, and the broader community are the foundation of a thriving learning environment. By valuing diverse perspectives, cultural knowledge, and lived experiences, we co-create a space that is welcoming, inclusive, and professionally enriching for all.
I advocate for environments that are safe, flexible, and stimulating - places where children feel a strong sense of belonging and are free to explore, imagine, and learn at their own pace. I recognise play as the vehicle through which children make sense of their world, and I see the educator’s role as one of intentional co-learner and guide: observing children’s interests, extending their thinking, and scaffolding experiences that are responsive, engaging, and tailored to each child’s unique learning journey.
I am passionate about leading with integrity, curiosity, and care—ensuring our practices align with the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG), while remaining grounded in relational pedagogy and a commitment to best practice. Through reflective dialogue, shared vision, and a dedication to professional excellence, I strive to nurture a learning community where every child, educator, and family feels seen, heard, and valued.
