At Little Kookas, our educators have a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard and are dedicated to providing rich learning experiences and environments that support all children regardless of what stage of development they may be at. Little Kookas strives to provide educational programs that fully encompass our centre philosophy offering a play based and child-centered approach to learning. Our highly experienced educators draw from their deep understanding of your child’s interests, ideas and abilities to create a program that is individualised to your child’s needs as educators plan learning experiences and opportunities that foster your child’s confidence in building skills for life-long learning.

free kindy
Little Kookas offers an approved government funded Kindergarten Program. For eligible children the Queensland ‘Free Kindy’ program offers funding for a total of 15 hours a week for 40 weeks of the year. While offering this program between our designated Kindy times Little Kookas also provides families with all of the benefits of a long day care centre outside of this program including care from 6:30am – 6:00 pm and over school holidays. childcare subsidies
For eligible families, childcare subsidies can be applied to your enrolment. This subsidy is to help families with the cost of childcare making services accessible to more families. The number of hours of subsidised care that a family can access will be determined by an activity test. The higher level of activity, the more hours of subsidised care families can access, with a maximum of 100 hours a fortnight. Little Kookas offers 9, 10 & 11.5-hour sessions so we are sure to have a session that best suits your circumstances. CCS will be applied after full fees have been charged, leaving a gap fee that is payable to the service by families.
