Frequently Asked Questions

What are your opening hours?

We operate Monday-Friday from 6:30am – 6:00pm excluding public holidays.

What do we need to bring each day?

Water bottle, min. 2 sets of spare clothes, formula and bottles (for infants), shoes.

What communication will I receive?

Each day you will receive updates on your child’s routine such as sleep times, meals, nappies, etc. Software apps will be used to share developmental stories and any centre notices. Additionally, families are welcome to phone the centre at any time for updates or queries. Educators love to share stories and anecdotes from the child’s day upon pick-up also.

What should my child wear?

Please ensure your children are dressed in comfortable clothing, shorts and t-shirts are preferable for active play. All clothing needs to be sun safe making sure shoulders are covered. Uniforms are available for purchase at the office also. Please note that lots of messy play does occur spontaneously so ensure clothes can take general wear and tear and are suitable for busy children who are learning.

Will I be charged if my child is absent?

Yes, fees will still apply during absences. The childcare subsidy will cover up to 42 absence days per financial year. If your child is absent for an entire week of their enrolment, then our holiday rate discount may be applied to your account. We appreciate families notifying us of planned absences in advance to ensure this rate is applicable.

What happens if an attendance day lands on a public holiday?

Where your child’s normal days of attendance falls on a public holiday normal fees still apply. If availabilities allow families can submit a request to swap to another day within that same week however these are subject to open vacancies and are rewarded on a first-in best-dressed basis.

Does my child need to be vaccinated to attend?

It is important to note that it is a condition of CCS eligibility that immunisations are kept up to date and details are shared with the service. However if your family opts not to immunise then the enrolment process can still proceed under the understanding that families will be responsible for paying full service fees and during an outbreak of confirmed contractable illnesses unimmunised will not be able to attend the service until all cases are cleared.
